Heading down the 101

The Oregon Coast is hands down my favorite stretch of coastline anywhere in the US. Its accessibility right off of US 101 is amazing, the views are second to none, and along the coast lies many unique small towns... and plenty of coffee shops. I first visited Oregon's coast in 2008 with my girlfriend at the time, we took an Amtrak from Cincinnati, Ohio to Portland, Oregon then took a bus to nearby Seaside, Oregon. We instantly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and spoke of how someday we would move to this area. Fast forward to 2013 and we took another trip to the Northwest where I proposed to her at Ecola State Park overlooking Cannon Beach, Oregon. I also made a travel video of that trip and captured the proposal. That same year we moved out to Seattle and now we live the dream of seeing these sights all the time.

Whenever there's talk of taking a trip down to Oregon, whether it be to Portland, Bend, Columbia River Gorge, or the coast, I will never turn it down. Some friends had a last minute adventure pop up to go to the Oregon Coast for the weekend... no real plans other than just driving down the coast and having a good time. With every trip, I fall more in love with Oregon and its beauty. The fact that I live in the Pacific Northwest is a dream come true in itself, I appreciate all its raw beauty and diverse landscapes from the rugged coast to glacier capped mountains. Here's to you Oregon, more coffee please.
