A 6 hour drive for friends, mountains, and good vibes.
Hours spent driving is totally relative to how it feels. Growing up in Ohio, if there was a concert two hours away you could bet there would be an argument about who would drive, "It's so far man, my car isn't going to make it!" Now, living in the Northwest, 6 hours driving after work on a Friday for a weekend isn't a big deal at all. There's so much to see and do, people to hang out with, new friends to meet. Plus, Bend is a rad city in Central Oregon!
I've been getting a lot of messages about people wanting to see more of a "vlog" style video of the hikes and adventures I go on. This was definitely a fun challenge and put me out of my element of talking to the camera. It's also a very different style of editing than I'm used to but totally fun to create. One of my bigger challenges is putting myself out there more and getting out from behind the camera. It was intimidating at first; talking to the camera, having my camera at the ready in public places, remembering not everything has to be perfectly framed, but after awhile I learned to let go and have fun with this.
Not everything needs to be perfect, not everything planned. Learn to live in the moment and take it all in.
